On friday the 27th we went to Lake Louise to climb the mega-classic "Louise Falls" 150m WI 4. We made it up to the last pitch where I dislodged a VCR sized block that re-arranged the comfort level in my knee for a brief period of time. We bailed at that point and reached light speed on the but-slide to the trail.
On day two we climbed "Kerkeslin Falls" WI 3 300m and spent the afternoon at Maligne Canyon. Later we had the best burgers in the galactic cluster over at the downstream bar in Jasper. The last shot is Marc dry tooling a horizontal section of mud and rocks, at least as fun as crawling on pavement with nothing but shorts on.
Marc-Andre and I went on a ice climbing trip to Jasper over the last few days. we climbed a few great routes including this one, "Melt out" WI 3 100m. Marc busted out with his first ever lead on ice. whoooaaaa mama.
James, Marc and I went for a late season scramble up Mount wilcox. Probably my favorite Scramble I have done so far save for the scramble into bed after about 6 beer. I do realize that all my dates are backwards so please bare with me while I slowly figure it all out.
So some friends and I went up on the saskatchewan glacier last week for some skiing. It was kinda like being inside of a ping-pong ball. Some sun came out near the end of the trip and the scenery started to open up for us to reveal some nice views. A good time with the guys.
