Mt.Gordon- Sunscreen and Skiing on the Icefield

After finishing the CAA level 1 avalanche course last week, M-A and I were stoked to get out on the skis for a long day in the high country. We had spoken about Mt.Gordon a few times over the years and with the current high pressure over the divide, it was time to giv'er.





We left the car at 0730 and made good time to the hut where we bumped into a few friends, it felt like we were walking into the bagel company, with knowing half the people in the hut and all. It was a stellar day on the wapta and at one point, sharing the summit of Mt.Gordon with two ravens, we were able to take everything in and wonder at it all.
